SPRINGHILL — A Springhill man is facing charges after allegedly harassing his ex-girlfriend and holding her captive.
Adrian Mendenhall, 32, of the 1400 block of 7th Street Southeast was arrested on charges of domestic abuse battery with strangulation, stalking, cyberstalking, false imprisonment, simple battery, entering after forbidden and disturbing the peace.
On Monday, Feb. 10, a woman and her daughter went to the Webster Parish Sheriff's Office Springhill substation to file complaints on Mendenhall.
According to reports, Mendenhall sent threatening texts to the victim and went to her place of employment after he had been banned from the premises. He also reportedly went to her mother's residence after being told not to, parked and honked his vehicle horn continuously.
Mendenhall allegedly choked, slapped and spit on the victim and locked her in a bedroom for several hours.
After the victim filed affidavits, Webster sheriff's deputies went to Mendenhall's residence and took him into custody.
