An undercover operation netted Minden police a local man for allegedly selling narcotics.
Angelo Oneal, 37, of the 700 block of Peach Street, was arrested Thursday on a warrant for distribution of crack cocaine.
"Capt. Daniel Weaver, Capt. Marvin Garrett and Officer Jonathon Odom went to Oneal's house, where they found Oneal leaning against a vehicle in the front of the residence," Chief Steve Cropper said. "They advised him of his rights, told him about the warrant and arrested him without incident."
Oneal was booked at the Minden Police Department and transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center (BDCC) where he is held under a bond of $35,000.
In the northern end of Webster Parish, Narcotics Task Force agents arrested several individuals as the result of a reverse sting operation.
Webster Parish Sheriff's Lt. Shawn Baker, Springhill Police Chief Will Lynd and Springhill Det. Brian Montgomery arrested Kevin Eugene Edwards, 44, of the 900 block of Reynolds Street, Springhill for possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
According to reports, agents supplied an undercover informant with three grams of methamphetamine. Edwards allegedly purchased the drugs from the informant, and agents arrested him on site.
A search of his vehicle turned up three grams of suspected methamphetamine, a bag of suspected marijuana and a smoking pipe. Edwards was booked and transported to BDCC.
In a separate incident, agents arrested Christopher Dewayne Burris, 38, of the 1600 block of Hwy. 371 South, Taylor Ark. He is charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Agents reportedly set up an undercover informant with 14 grams of methamphetamine at an undisclosed location in Shongaloo, where Burris allegedly purchased the drug.
Burris reportedly left the scene at a high rate of speed and tossed a cigarette pack out of the vehicle onto the roadway. Agents say they stopped Burris approximately one mile from the scene. The cigarette package reportedly yielded 14 grams of methamphetamine.
More of the drug was reportedly found inside the vehicle along with a syringe. Burris was booked and transported to BDCC.
Task force members, assisted by Probation and Parole agents, arrested three individuals in Sarepta, also for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Amanda Diane Knippers, 31, of the 300 block of Walnut Road in Springhill; Gary Henson, 51, of the 100 block of Wallace Road in Sarepta; and Jason Prichard, 35, of the 1000 block of Brenda Circle in Minden, were all at the same location when they were arrested for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
At the Wallace Road residence, agents found a white zipper case containing syringes and methamphetamine. They reportedly found other drugs and paraphernalia throughout the residence, including needles, spoons with methamphetamine residue in it and bongs. All the subjects were booked at the Springhill Police Department and transported to BDCC.
