Lakeside, North Webster drop games

VIVIAN — The Lakeside Warriors dropped a 59-39 district game to North Caddo on Tuesday night.

"They jumped on us early," Lakeside head coach Jason Gould said.

North Caddo lead Lakeside 21-11 after the first quarter and never looked back.

"They hit like three three-pointers in the first quarter," Gould said. "And then hit two more in the second. So they had five three-pointers in the first half and were shooting the ball really well."
Couple North Caddo's hot start, and Lakeside's struggle to shoot the ball and you end up with a big Warrior deficit.

"We had a lot of shots that were going in and out," Gould said. "So that really put us in a hole that we could never recover from. We just couldn't match the intensity of their home floor. It was just a rough night for us."

Maurice Moore led Lakeside with 12 points and Frankie Miles added 11. Jamarion Teal dropped in eight.

Lakeside will host Lakeview on Friday beginning with a jv boys game at 5 p.m.

SPRINGHILL—The Bossier Bearkats beat North Webster, 65-59 in overtime Tuesday night to take the lead in District 1-3A.

North Webster out-scored Bossier 17-14 to force the game into overtime, but the Bearkats out-scored the Knights, 16-10 in the OT to take the 65-59 win.

Bossier led 12-7 at the end of the first quarter, and 21-16 at the half. The Knights out-scored Bossier, 33-28 in the second half, but fell short in overtime.

Willie Lee led North Webster with 19 points and Lyntravious Gipson added 15. Dontavious Smith added 10.

The Knights will host Mansfield on Friday.
