First board meeting for new Webster superintendent

school board

Six days on the job as Webster Schools' newly appointed superintendent, Dr. Dan Rawls was welcomed to his first board meeting Monday night.

The East Baton Rouge Parish native seemed eager to work with board members to make the Webster system to be "elite".

Rawls told board members the system is running smoothly "even with all of the things you have been through."

Rawls was selected by the board in November. With 25 years in the education sector, Rawls most recently served as principal of Stephensville Elementary in Morgan City in St. Martin Parish.
