During the season of giving, at least one Shreveport man may have decided it was also the season of taking when he allegedly stole Christmas gifts and other items from a Minden residence.
Dylan Andrew Kelsey, 17, of the 3100 block of Knight Street, Shreveport, was arrested for felony theft three days after a party where a number of items disappeared.
Minden Police Chief Steve Cropper said two days before Christmas, Kelsey reportedly attended a party at a Gladney Street residence with a number of other young persons.
"At some point and time, people started going to sleep, and afterward Kelsey assisted in the theft of several Christmas gifts, four TVs and a 38 caliber revolver," Cropper said. "When Kelsey was arrested, he admitted the items that were stolen were dropped off at a residence in Shreveport. Some were supposed to be taken to Dallas."
Cropper said Det. Keith King, Jr., arrested Kelsey for felony theft over $500 and expects to make another arrest in the case.
Kelsey was booked at the Minden Police Department and transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center.
