A Shongaloo woman is in jail after selling narcotics to an undercover law enforcement officer.
Emili Jo Modisette, 31, of the 12000 block of Hwy. 159, is charged with warrants for possession of a Legend drug with intent to distribute and possession of CDS Sch. II Methamphetamine, CDS Sch. IV Xanax and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to Webster Parish Sheriff's Capt. Robert Hayden, he, along with WPSO narcotics deputies Bobby Igo, III and Joel Thomas, served warrants at Modisette's residence Friday morning.
"We had been working on this several months," Hayden said. "We found out Modisette was selling Methamphetamine, so we did an undercover operation on her and bought from her. After we did that, we executed the search warrant."
During the search, Hayden said deputies located Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in a hidden compartment in the wall of her closet.
"The Legend drug – I think there was 101 pills in the bottle," Hayden said. "We also found several pipes used to smoke meth and baggies with suspected drugs."
Modisette was booked and transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center. Her bonds total more than $25,000.
