Consumers who may have waited until the weekend before Christmas to finish their shopping will need an umbrella or raincoat in order to stay dry.
According to the National Weather Service, there is 100 percent chance of rain Saturday and Saturday night. On the first day of winter, warmer air meets up with a cold front resulting in storms that could be severe and produce heavy rainfall. Two to four inches of rain are expected and a flash flood watch will be in effect.
High temperatures Saturday will be around 76 degrees Farenheit, while the lows will be around 50. Chance of rain slacks off to around 20 percent Sunday, with clearing expected Monday and lower temperatures.
