Funeral services for Emma Shaw Koehler were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden. Officiating was Rev. Frank DeLoach. Interment followed at Fellowship Cemetery in Dubberly. The family received friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Emma was born Dec. 17, 1922 in Dubberly and entered into rest Dec. 12, 2013 in Bossier City.
She served her country in the United States Army during World War II. She retired from Minden Medical Center, where she worked as a LPN for 28 years.
Her husband, Charles Koehler; daughter, Martha Liner; brother, Joe Shaw; sisters, Mary Martin and Dorothy Merritt preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son, Bobby Koehler and wife, Vicki of Doyline; daughters, Kathy Miller and husband, Ben of Minden and Susie Williams and husband, Jimmy of Austin, Texas; brother, Clyde B. Shaw of Tacoma, Washington; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were John Merritt, Darryl Merritt, Chuck Williams, Chase Koehler, Waylon Koehler, Trea Miller, Wesley Miller and Luke Miller.
