In front of a packed house and with the addition of Minden High School Band performing before, during and after the games, the Webster Jr. High boys and girls teams pulled out three wins over the North Webster Chardgers on Monday.
The 7th grade boys were able to set the tone defensively by applying constant pressure and limiting North Webster Chargers to one shot on offense. At the half Webster had a slim one point led 19-18
Webster came out in the second half and out scored the Chargers 22-7 Bringing the final score to 41-25.
Alonzo Lister led the way in scoring with 11 points followed by Kentravion Rogers with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
The Lady Wolves led the Lady Chargers 19-12 at halftime, and went on to win, 45-26.
Sha'Tera Batton led the ladies with 21 points. Sha-Morrow Whiting added seven points and Shuntorri Rodgers and Derrica Gilbert both added six. Taylor Banks rounded things out with four points and Destini Powell added one point.
Rebounding was double trouble by Derrica Gilbert and Destini Powell.
The 8th grade Wolves got off to a great start with a 8-2 lead at the end of the first quarter, but went into halftime leading by 2 points 9-7.
After regrouping at the half, the wolves out scored the Chargers the rest of the way 23-14.
LaKalvin Morgan led the way with 12 followed by Kentravion Rogers with six.
The next home game will be November 11 against Haynesville.
