SIBLEY — The Lakeside Warriors hosted Calvary Baptist in their 2013 Homecoming game Friday night.
Unfortunately, Cavaliers came away with 57-6 win.
"Calvary had a good game last night," Lakeside head coach, Joey Pesses said. "We thought we prepared ourselves enough, but it didn't work out in the end."
Lakeside kicked off to start game, and it didn't take long for Calvary to score. Lakeside continued to fight against Calvary but was unable to control the Cavaliers offense.
In the fourth quarter Maurice Moore scored the Warrior's lone touchdown.
"This was not the boys' best game," Pesses said. "But they'll practice hard and try to accomplish a victory this Friday. You're always disappointed when you lose, but Calvary is a very strong and physical team and playing a team like this can only make us better down the line."
Pesses wants his team to finish the season strong and be ready for a hopeful playoff run.
"We stressed to the kids during the week, that win or lose, we wanted to use this game to get better," Pesses said. "And I think we did that. This will help us deal with adversity and help us wherever we line up in the playoffs."
The Warriors will travel to North Caddo this Friday. Kickoff will be at 7 p.m.
