Churches, businesses, civic groups, boys scouts, girl scouts, 4-H'ers, school groups, cheerleaders, dance groups, friends, neighbors, anyone and everyone is invited to participate in a community effort to make Minden a cleaner, greener and more beautiful place for all.
The Highway 80 Alliance is looking for volunteers to participate in the Highway 80 Fall Clean-Up Day, scheduled for Saturday October, 26 at 9 a.m.
Volunteers will meet at The Farm, located on the corner of Talton and East Union (Hwy 80) Streets, across from Save-A-Lot, for assignments.
Crews will work in their designated clean-up areas until noon, and return to The Farm for food and refreshments.
"Any amount of time will be greatly appreciated," said Stephanie Winzer, Hwy 80 Alliance president. "All groups, teams, clubs, and individuals are welcome to attend as the event provides a great service opportunity. Together an hour or two can go a long way."
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. For more information call Stephanie Winzer at 453-0559.
