A memorial service to celebrate the life of Elizabeth "Betty" Leadbetter Bricker, will be held Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Broadmoor Baptist Church, Shreveport.
Mrs. Bricker was a native of Ashland, Virginia and resided in Minden for 40 years. Mrs. Bricker was a homemaker and mother of nine children. She was always happiest when surrounded with her children and grandchildren. She was steadfast and happy in her love for the Lord.
Mrs. Bricker was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Carl D. Bricker, Sr.; her parents, William Eaton and Elizabeth Bridgers Leadbetter; and grandson, Jonathon Martin Bricker.
Those left to cherish her memory are sons, Dudley Bricker (Sue), Kevin Bricker (Dianne), Dan Bricker (Diane), John Bricker (Sue Ellen) and Adam Bricker (Kristine); daughters, Regan Colas (Bobby), Katie Adwell, Carrie Himel (Daniel) and Rose Plunkett (Tim); her sisters, Mrs. Jean Beasley of Spotsylvania, Virginia, Mrs. Nancy Wellman (Dale), of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and one brother, William Eaton Leadbetter, Jr., of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
She is also survived by 24 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church or charity of the donor's choice.
