Lillian Oliver Morgan was born Dec. 10, 1927 to the late Ellis Oliver, Sr. and Lanie Markray Oliver. She departed this earthly life Sept. 9, 2013.
She was united in holy matrimony to Albert Morgan, Sr. To this union, nine children were born.
Sister Lillian Morgan accepted Christ at an early age. She joined Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, where she remained a faithful member until her health prohibited her. She served in many capacities including the mission and youth counselor.
Mrs. Lillian Morgan was employed as a cafeteria worker for the Webster Parish School System for many years.
Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis, Sr. and Lanie Oliver; her husband, Albert Morgan, Sr.; a daughter, Margaret Thomas; a son, Albert Morgan, Jr.; a grandson, Carlos Morgan; three sisters; and six brothers.
Sister Lillian Oliver Morgan leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving children: four sons, Timothy Morgan (Shirley), Walter Oneal Morgan, Julius Morgan and Dietricee Morgan (Sharon); three daughters, Annie Morgan, Marion Morgan and Carolyn Douglas (Melvin); 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Glennis Oliver (Adell) and Emmitt Oliver; daughter-in-law, Melinda Rhone Morgan; son-in-law, Robert Thomas; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Homegoing celebration service for Sister Lillian Oliver Morgan will be held Saturday, September 14 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church with Rev. Rodney Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Fellowship Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 13 from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. in the chapel of Kennon's Mortuary.
