Lady Apaches split pair of games

The Glenbrook Lady Apaches split a pair of games this week, beating River Oaks and falling to Claiborne Academy.

Earlier this week the Lady Apaches dropped a 6-5 non-district game to C.A., but bounced back for a 20-8 district win over River Oaks on Wednesday.

The two games moved Glenbrook's record to 9-5 overall and 2-0 in district.

Glenbrook 10, River Oaks 8

The Lady Apaches had their bats going as seven different players had multiple hits.

Carsin Spurlock led the way with a four-four-four day. She had an inside-the-park home run, a double and four RBIs. Sunni Wilson had three hits and two RBIs and Megan Sims had three singles. Katie Kidd singled twice and drove in two, Jessica Mangrum had two hits and two RBIs and Alicia Martin went three-for-four with two RBIs. Gracyn Shelby Nicholas doubled and singled and Gorman had a RBI-triple. Macey Branch added a RBI single.

Gorman had two hits and Nicholas singled, doubled and drove in a run. Spurlock and Mangrum both singled.
