Tide Golf Tournament set

The Minden High Softball and the Mixed Martial Arts team are once again sponsoring the Tide Golf Tournament. The tournament will be held at The Grove Golf Course Saturday, July 9.

"The tournament is being held to raise funds to enhance athletic facilities, ensuring all stakeholders that our students have the best instructional materials possible," said Mike Dick, an event organizer. "It is very important to the staff of Minden High School to provide the best for our students. There are needs that we want to meet and your support can make that happen."

The Tider Golf Tournament is a three-man scramble with numerous prize opportunities including a $10,000 hole-in-one challenge. There will also be prizes for a hole-in-one, closest to the hole, and first, second and third places.

Tee time is 8 a.m. and the cost is $75 per golfer. The charge includes green fees, cart and a light lunch.

Sponsorship opportunities include three levels: gold, silver and bronze.

Gold sponsorships are $275 and include one three-man team. The team will have green fees paid, a cart provided and a lunch for each team member. Gold level sponsorship also includes a sponsorship sign. Silver sponsorship is $150 and includes a sponsorship sign as well as green fees, lunch and a cart for one member. Bronze sponsorship is $100 and includes a sponsorship sign.
