Officers buckling down to buckle up

click-it-or-ticket-logoUsing a grant supplied by the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission, law enforcement officers are gearing up and buckling down to watch for seat belt and child restraint violators, beginning this week.

"Starting Wednesday (today), we will have an additional two officers on the street four hours per day," said Minden Police Chief Steve Cropper. "They will be specifically targeting people who are not wearing seat belts or who do not have children in proper child safety restraints."
