First Baptist Church of Minden led the community Thursday in a National Day of Prayer. Todd Dubose led singing of the National Anthem. Below, judges and local law enforcement officials joined in the service of patriotism and prayer.
Also participating were Minden High School Jr. ROTC Color Guard and Voices of Praise choir. Rev. Richard Methvin, Eastside Missionary Baptist Church, prayed for the church and home, while Rev. Royal Scott, Sr., Greater St. Paul Baptist, Church prayed for schools and education. Rev. John Cannon, First United Methodist Church, offered a prayer for local, state and national officials, and Rev Russell Snider, First Assembly of God Church, prayed for military and first responders.
