The Minden Crimson Tide and Lady Tiders track teams took part in the recent District 1-A Track meet and came away with some top finishes.
The Crimson Tide finished sixth overall with 18 points. Benton finished first with 165, Huntington was second (130), Northwood was third (118), Fair Park was fourth (80) and Woodlawn was fifth (37).
DeAndre Grant was the top Tide performer with a first place finish in the 110 hurdles at 15.32.
The Lady Tiders finished fourth (51 points) behind Benton (1st 224), Northwood (105) and Huntington (93).
The Lady Tiders 4X200 Relay team finished third at 1:52.10, the 4X400 Relay took second at 4:40.3 and the 4X100 Relay team placed third at 51.55.
Marthica Sterling took first place in the 100 hurdles with a time of 18.59 and Shabrie Nelson took a third place finish in the 400 meters. Jazmine Goodman placed second in the 200 meters at 27.73.
