Girls Scouts obtain skills during annual cookie sale

Girl Scout Troop #508 recently wrapped up cookie sales and met several goals.

The Girl Scout Cookie Program are aims to teach five skills: Goal Setting, Decision Making, Money Management, People Skills and Business Ethics.

Girls also are able to earn money towards girl-planned program activities, as well as to contribute to their council's ability to provide Girl Scouting in the community.

The girls collect donations of cookies for the "gift of caring" program to donate to the organization of the troops choice. The cookies that troop #508 collected were donated to Evergreen Life Services.

Girls in Troop 508 are Kayleigh Haughton, Asia Huey, JaMaya Jackson, Kaitlin James, Kimber James, Lillian Jolly -- not pictured, Serenity Lee, Destani McCoy, Mi-Li Pham, Trinity Phillips, Aniah Reamer, Paige Simpson, Hannah Smith, Brandie Washington, Katelin Weston and not pictured, Kazanee Willis, Devinie Wyatt.
