Local Homemakers Clubs met at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, in the home of Betty Null in Lake Erling, Ark., at Cypress Point for a great meeting.
Null is a member of Sanders Road Homemakers Club of Springhill and her daughter, Laura Carter, joined us also.
Other members of Sanders Road included Elizabeth Tripp, Ruby Wise, Barbara Harper, Annie Whaley, Barbara Null, Brenda Samples and Christine Snider.
Snider's daughter, Donna Iverson, was a guest at the meeting also.
Members of Shongaloo Homemakers Club included Virginia Benson, Idelle Simms, Cindy K. Richardson, Cheryl Hudec, Robbie Swain and Debbie Williams.
Everyone brought salads to go with Bill Null's wonderfully delicious fried fish. The salads included Pear Salad, Lime Salad, Pistachio Salad, Shrimp Salad, Bow Tie
Pasta Salad, Corn Salad and many more. Null also prepared a blackberry cobbler for dessert.
Helping Bill cook was James Whaley, and they had a good time outside in the wind by the lake while cooking.
Snider asked everyone what their favorite flower was.
The following responses were given:
Hudec - Black Rose
Swain - Carnations (all colors) and Red Clover
Richardson - Purple Iris with yellow stamin
