Sting snares local

hunter_richardA Doyline man was arrested Friday when several different law enforcement agencies conducted a special operation aimed at addressing prostitution.

Richard Hunter, 39, of the 200 block of Horsehoe Loop was arrested by Shreveport Police and charged with prostitution.

Sgt. Bill Goodin, public information officer with the Shreveport Police Department, said Hunter's arrest – along with 23 others – was in response to citizen complaints as well as intelligence gathered by law enforcement officials.

"This multi-jurisdictional initiative was launched at various locations throughout Caddo and Bossier parishes," Goodin said.

Comprised of personnel from the F.B.I., Louisiana State Police, Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office, Shreveport Police Department and Bossier City Police Department, this collaborative effort netted the arrests.

"Officers and agents focused on street-level prostitutes as well as so-called escort services that were contacted via phone or internet," Goodin said. "Undercover officers posing as prostitutes also played a role in this initiative."

Goodin said Hunter, who was temporarily housed in the Caddo Parish Jail, has bonded out for $389.
