Christmas Festival Continues

A happy Tonya Garland of Sarepta was presented $300 from Sarepta Alderman and Christmas Festival President Peggy Adkins.

When claiming her $250 prize at the festival, Tonya was wearing her official Christmas Festival shirt earning an additional $50. All week, a daily clue was announced laying the foundation for Garland to pinpoint the exact location.

"X" marked the spot and was written under a rock at a railroad track crossing in Sarepta. Barksdale Federal Credit Union in Cotton Valley sponsored the Hidden Treasure event.

This Sunday will highlight the Tour of Homes, which is another portion of the Sarepta Christmas Festival. The three festively decorated and unique Sarepta homes that are open to the public from 2 to 4 p.m. are: Gary and Patsy Warford, 110 Warford Trail off Crow Lake Road; Terry and Johnice Whitehead at 5391 Highway 2; and Aaron Doyle and Peggy Adkins, 5153 Highway 2.

Tickets may be purchased through Friday at the Sarepta Town Hall, 847-4333, or on Sunday at any of the homes. Directions to each home are printed on the ticket brochure and signs will be visible.

Citizens National Bank is the sponsor of this year's Sarepta Christmas Festival Tour of Homes.
