A two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 371 about two miles south of LA Highway 531 in Webster Parish Friday claimed the life of a Coushatta man.
A preliminary investigation by Troop G revealed that a 1996 Ford Aero van driven by 66-year-old Bobby Young of Coushatta was traveling north on Hwy. 371, when for reasons still under investigation, Young's vehicle crossed the center line and struck head-on a 1998 Peterbilt fully-loaded log truck driven by 49-year-old Herbert Sawyer of West Monroe.
