‘College’ Night on the agenda

Minden High School and National Honor Society are bringing together representatives from several colleges and branches of the military to help area students decide a future route.

"College Night," held at Minden High, is for all area juniors, seniors and their parents.

According to Alan Shaw, Sr. Guidance Counselor at Minden High School, the event will be held Thursday, October 11 at 7 p.m. and is open to students from all area schools, including Minden, Lakeside, Doyline, Glenbrook and Webster Parish Achievement Center.

"More than 30 colleges and universities, as well as several military branches and financial institutions will be in attendance," Shaw said.

The program will include a brief general welcome and introduction of college representatives, followed by a short presentation by each school about their institution.

"Following these presentations, we encourage everyone to browse and gather information from each of the schools represented," Shaw said. "This should be a priority for these students and parents."
