(Editor’s Note: Between now and the November 6 election, the Press-Herald will examine each of the nine proposed Constitutional Amendments that will appear on the ballot.)
Proposed Amendments 3 and 9 on the Nov. 6 ballot are intended to provide legislators and the public more time to digest certain bills before they go before the legislature.
“I think all of that is wise,” state senator Robert Adley said. “Too many things happen here on the spur of the moment. What this is doing is trying to ensure…everybody’s going to know well in advance what’s being proposed.”
