Lakeside heads to Arcadia, NWHS to host Homer

The Lakeside Warriors and North Webster Knights both have important games tonight for very different reasons.

While every game is important to the schools, tonight's games might have some extra incentives for the teams.

The Lakeside Warriors busted out of the gate with two straight wins and the team's confidence was riding high. But two straight losses have tempered the confidence and brought th team back to .500.

Tonight the Warriors will head to Arcadia to take on the Hornets.

Arcadia has struggled to an 0-4 record this season, so they might be the right team at the right time for the Warriors to face.

The Hornets have been out-scored 165-20 in their four losses.

Look for the Warriors to try to get Chris Lewis and the running game cranked up tonight.

The North Webster Knights had an opposite start to their season. The Knights lost their first two games, before reeling off two impressive wins. Also, if not for a bad third quarter against the Northwood Falcons, the Knights would be riding a three-game winning streak.

Tonight the Knights will host the Homer Pelicans. Homer comes into the game with an impressive 3-1 record, with wins over Farmerville, BTW and St. Frederick.

In last week's 35-21 win over St. Fredrick, Darien Dunn ran for 126 yards and three touchdowns. In all, the Pels piled up 299 yards rushing and 112 yards passing.

The Knights' defense should be up to the challenge, as they have allowed just 13 points combined in their last two games, both wins.
