Marvin appoints Stinson as ADA

District Attorney J. Schuyler Marvin has appointed Douglas M. Stinson as Assistant District Attorney for the Juvenile Division of the Twenty-Sixth Judicial District Court, where he will handle juvenile cases ranging from armed robbery to disorderly conduct.

Stinson, a Shreveport-Bossier native, is the son of Judge Ford and Suzanne Stinson, and Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Kilpatrick. He graduated Northwood High School in 2000 and later attended Louisiana State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Degree in Political Science in 2004.

He continued his education by earning a Bachelor of Civil Law Degree and Juris Doctorate from LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center in Baton Rouge in 2008.

Before joining the district attorney's office, Stinson worked as an associate attorney with Bradley Murchison Kelly & Shea Law Firm in Shreveport where he maintains a private practice.

He is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association, and Shreveport and Bossier Bar Associations.

He is an active member of Asbury United Methodist Church where he serves on the Church Council and Board of Directors.

He resides in Bossier City with his wife, Lauren Tanner Stinson and two children Ainsley Lyn and Tanner Ford.
