KSLA to broadcast from Minden

‘On the Road Show’ airs Thursday from downtown Minden

Minden will be featured on KSLA Channel 12 News "On the Road Show," a live news broadcast on Thursday, July 26, at 6 p.m.

According to Lynn Dorsey, Executive Director of the Webster Parish Convention and Visitors Bureau, morning news anchor Doug Warner has been in Minden doing preproduction.

"The 'On the Road Show' is a new endeavor for Channel 12 and the City of Minden was selected as one of four communities for an hour-long live broadcast featuring the people, places, and history that make our community unique," Dorsey said.

The crew of the evening news – Domonique Benn, Pat Simon and "Stormtracker Steve" – will be downtown beginning at 5 p.m., and live interviews during the news hour will begin at 6 p.m.

"The Convention and Visitors Bureau, Minden Main Street and the Minden-South Webster Chamber of Commerce invite everyone to come downtown Thursday at 5 p.m. to welcome the news crew and show them why Minden is known as the Friendliest City in the South," Dorsey said. "Bring your friends, family and signs with you."

Free hot dogs and soft drinks will be provided.
