AA District Tournament underway

Minden Continentals unbeaten through two games

The AA District IV Tournament began last night at the Minden Recreation Complex with a full slate of Pool Play games.

The tournament will continue today and run through Sunday.

Minden Continentals 19, Haughton 0

Roman Tolbert led the Continentals with two doubles and a single. Andrew Fegley and Peyton Wells both had three singles, and Landen Hopkins had two doubles. Maddox Mandino, Dylan Miller, Andrew Cooper and Conner Humphrey all had two hits. Cason Clemons and Jake Wilkins both added singles.

Clay Salley and Ryan Rimmer singled for Haughton.

Minden Continentals 11, Bossier Americans 3

Roman Tolbert led Minden with three hits and Dylan Miller had two. Maddox Mandino doubled and Peyton Wells, Andrew Fegley, C.J. Watts, Landen Hopkins, Andrew Cooper, Connor Humphrey, Cason Clemons and Jake Wilkins all added singles.

Reese Taylor tripled for Bossier. Corbin McGowan, Jackson White and Stone Smith all singled.

Vivian 11, Minden Nationals 10

Michael Craver had three hits to lead Vivian. Mason Welch, Cody Van Noppen and Cayne Little all had two hits.

Grady Brasher, Parker Cupples and Antonio Coleman all had two hits to lead Minden. Cole Osbon doubled and Brandon Winston, Jakob Bogan, Ty Green and Ryley Pate all added singles.

Shreveport Nationals 21, Minden Nationals 0

Jackson Procell had three hits to lead Shreveport. Brett Remedies, Brock Lambert, John Jerdan, Jadyn Falls, Chris Haskew and Ty Hinton all added two hits.

Brandon Winston, Antonio Coleman and Ty Green all singled for Minden.

Shreveport Americans 13, Shreveport Nationals 7

Brett Remedies and Jacob Gipson both had three hits to lead the Americans.

Isaac Erickson had three singles to lead the Nationals.

Ruston Americans 11, Union Parish 10

K.J. McTyer singled three times to lead Ruston, and Jay Brown, Caleb Phillips, Brady Soto and Dawson Szymanski all had two hits.

Jack Long had three hits and Drew Clark, Cross Talley and J.T. Barett each had two to lead Union Parish.

Ruston Nationals 18, Benton 17

Jacob Polocious and Lane Oliver each had two hits to lead Ruston. Jason Welch added a double.

Mason Haley,Jackson New and Ty Knippers all had two hits to lead Benton.

Shreveport Nationals 7, NOLA 2

Jackson Legg had three doubles to lead Shreveport. Sebastian Falls and Ashton Martin both doubled and Ty Ashworth and Dee Marsh had two singles each.

Lake Grant had two singles and Josh Foster doubled to lead NOLA. Layton Bays, Dennis McClung, Carter Gaston and Garrett Furlow all added base hits.

Benton 21, DeSoto 1

Sam Dominick singled and homered and Jackson New homered to lead Benton. Riley Townsend had two singles and a double and Mason Haley singled and tripled. George Chambers and Austin Wright both singled.

Hayden Rolfe singled and Caleb Wheless doubled for DeSoto.

Bossier Americans 15, Ruston Nationals 4

Reese Taylor had three hits and Clayton Brandon and Carson Carey both had two to lead Bossier. Coleman Stafford and Jayce Gill both doubled.

Bryce Moton tripled and Jordan Gilmore doubled to lead Ruston. Lane Oliver added two hits.

Bossier Nationals 28, DeSoto 0

Andre Green, Tanner Kirkland and Trent Lape all had three hits to lead Bossier. Brandon Levy, Gage Berry, Tyler Bouvillian and Wesley Gardner each had two hits. Zack Shoenbron tripled.

Ruston Americans 11, Vivian 9

Jay Brown had three singled to lead Ruston. Jack Willis, Caleb Phillips, Dawson Szymanski and Nick Mercer each had two hits. K.J. McTyer added a triple.

Michael Craver had three hits and Miles Terry had two for Vivian.
