Roland Guy Wilson

Roland_WilsonRoland Guy Wilson, 84, was born Dec. 11, 1927 to the late Fred and Mary (Bradley) Wilson. He died June 27, 2012.

Master Sergeant Roland Wilson, a veteran of the U.S. Army, retired after 28 years of service. He served in both World War II and Vietnam War, from which he received many commendations.

Mr. Wilson was a dedicated member of St. James Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and superintendent of Sunday school for more than 21 years.

Roland is survived by his wife, Beatrice Siah Wilson; three sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-laws and a host of nieces and nephews of the Siah, Jefferson and Nelson Families.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 30, 1 p.m. at St. James Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie Bryant officiating. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, June 30 at St. James Baptist church from noon until 1 p.m.
