Tyler A. Johnston of the 1700 block of Oriole Street in Bossier was arrested for felony carnal knowledge of a 14-year-old girl.
"Ofc. Ben Allen was dispatched to a residence here in Minden in reference to a possible missing 14-year-old," Minden Police Chief Steve Cropper said.
"By the time he got there the juvenile had actually shown back up at the residence," he continued. "Of course the parents observed the vehicle that had dropped off the missing child and got a description of the vehicle."
After questioning, the victim revealed that she had met Johnston on the Web site www.meetme.com.
She said Johnston had arranged to come pick her up and take her to a local motel.
Allen then contacted Det. Heath Balkom and went to the motel to investigate.
"They discovered this guy had actually signed his name and given some information on who he was when he rented the room," Cropper said.
MPD put out a warrant on Johnston, who was then picked up by Bossier City Police and transported back to Minden for questioning.
"He admitted that he met this girl online," Cropper said. "He thought she was a little bit older, of course that's not an excuse."
Johnston was then charged and booked into Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center. His bond was set at $35,000 and bonded out June 25.
