Leecy Estelle Wynne Blackmon

Graveside services and interment for Mrs. Leecy Estelle Wynne Blackmon, age 78, was held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2012 (today) at the Old Shongaloo Cemetery, Shongaloo with Rev. Lee G. Nunley officiating. Services were under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home in Springhill.

Visitation was from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Bailey Funeral Home in Springhill.

Mrs. Blackmon was born October 15, 1933 in Shongaloo to Ruben Oliver and Nora Barnard Wynne and died Friday, June 22, 2012 in Shreveport. She was a native of Shongaloo and had been a resident of Bossier City since 1960. She was a member of the Point Chapel Assembly of God, was a homemaker and former owner of a grocery store on Lake Bisteneau and was employed with an insurance business for 19 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Blackmon, Jr. on June 30, 1999; daughter, Rebecca Hennigan; five brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by: a brother, James "Shorty" Wynne of Springhill; grandchildren Trey Hennigan, Shawna Yates and Aaron Hennigan; a number of great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
