Allen Glynn Monroe was born May 17, 1964 in Winnfield and was called home to be with his loving Jesus on June 18, 2012. He was a long and faithful employee of Newt Brown Contractors, Alpha Pilling & Railroad and also Benton & Brown family for many years. He also had many friends at Blazer Construction.
He was welcomed into Heaven by his father, Lester Allen Monroe (Joe); grandparents, Arthur Napoleon Monroe and Ruby Rhymes Monroe, Nathaniel Leon Powell and Edna Bundrick Powell; and special friend, David Krouse.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother and stepfather Betty Monroe and Jr. Monroe of Sibley; wife, Laura Monroe of Doyline; children, Ashley Monroe of Sibley, Joshua Allen Monroe and wife, Haley of Dubberly, Brittany Monroe and Brandy Monroe of Cotton Valley; stepchildren, Abbey, Michael and Brooke Archer of Heflin; grandchildren, Ethan and Isabella Vise of Sibley and Chloe and Mason Allen Monroe of Dubberly; sister, Bonnie Monroe of Minden; brothers, Nathan Charles Goines of Florida and Dewayne Monroe and wife, Christy of Ohio; stepbrother, Michael Monroe of Sibley; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden. Officiating will be the Rev. Andy Maddox. Interment will follow at West Lake Cemetery in Doyline. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. today (Wednesday, June 20, 2012) at Rose-Neath Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be J. D. Mathes, Michael Archer, J. D. Bogues, Jimmy Mathes, Brian Meeker and Chase Vise.
