Claiborne gives Sibley police a helping hand

Sibley Police Department was one of five organizations to recently receive a grant from Claiborne Electric Cooperative's Operation Round Up program.

The department was granted $2,004 to purchase a Panasonic Toughbook laptop computer. The computer is being used in a patrol vehicle to complete paperwork electronically and run software critical for officer safety and efficiency.

Sibley Police Chief Jeremy Robinson said the new laptop, which is in the town's only patrol unit, will save time for his officers and the Webster Parish Sheriff's Office.
