SIBLEY — The Lakeside Warriors beat Jonesboro-Hodge Thursday, 10-2, to improve to 2-1 in district play. Overall, the Warriors’ record sets at 13-8.
Clayton Festavan earned his first win of the year, as he started on the mound for Lakeside.
“He did a good job. He did really well,” Lakeside head coach Bob Gray said. “He went all seven innings, gave up two runs and only four hits.”
Dakota Shinall went two-for-four with two runs batted in and Timothy Griffith also went two-for-four. Tyler Wallace singled and tripled and Austin Ashley doubled.
The Warriors will travel to Springhill to take on the North Webster Knights at noon, and then will travel to Natchitches on Saturday to take on St. Mary. The junior varsity will play at 11 a.m., with the varsity to follow at 1 p.m.
