Be On the Lookout

Minden Police officers are looking for a suspect in connection with the robbery of an individual on Broadway around 2 p.m. Wednesday. The victim, William (Art) Campbell, said the suspect was walking from the downtown area when he approached Campbell and demanded his wallet. "He said 'give me everything you've got in your pocket or I'll shoot you,'" Campbell said.

Campbell reportedly said the suspect, described as a "skinny black male wearing a jacket," fled the scene by running back toward downtown. He took Campbell's wallet, which was located a short distance away. Above, (from left) Webster Parish Sheriff's deputy Tony Matteson reported the incident to police. Officer 1st Class Danny Turner clarifies information from Campbell (seated), in order to catch the suspect, while Det. Chris Cheatham listens nearby. Campbell was slightly injured in the altercation and was transported to Minden Medical Center by Pafford EMS. If anyone has information connected with the incident, please contact Minden Police at 371-4226.
