Surplus items on city council agenda

If a resolution passes to declare some city items as surplus by the Minden City Council, items from cars to computers may sold be at auction in May.

The council will meet at 7 p.m. today, and a list of surplus items – which may be viewed at city hall – is just one agenda item.

Other items:

Curator's report on 218 Hall Street, which may be declared condemned property.

Reappointment of Alex Collins, Olivia Elkins and Mary Lynn Callen to the Minden Downtown Development Commission.

A resolution for a state marketing grant for the Fasching Fifth Season Festival.

A communications policy for the physically disabled in accordance with the Louisiana Community Development Block Grant Program.

Authority to advertise for bids for Minden Airport Phase II, which consists of construction of a new apron, taxilanes, access road and auto parking.

The Minden Police report.

All council meetings are held in Council Chambers at Minden City Hall. The public is invited to attend.
