A north Webster Parish drug distributor, who was already off the streets will be in jail a while longer, after additional drug charges were filed against him.
Darius Cornelius Mendenhall, 29, of 7th Street SE in Springhill has been charged with criminal conspiracy to distribute CDS Sch. II (crack cocaine) and distribution of a legend drug.
According to reports, Det. Ronald Wedgeworth with Springhill police learned Mendenhall was at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center on other felony charges. Wedgeworth and Lt. Shawn Baker reportedly had the felony drug warrants on Mendenhall.
Once it was confirmed that Mendenall was at BDCC, Wedgeworth faxed the warrants to the jail.
