Comforting Each Other

We all have 'teared-up' watching interviews concerning the deadly tornadoes that raced across Indiana and Kentucky recently. In the aftermath of it all, we also saw countless neighbors and strangers offering words and deeds of comfort. To those who lost loved ones in the storms, many have helped with expenses related to funerals, rebuilding, clothing and such. The Disaster Relief Units of several Baptist State Conventions raced to be on the scene to help in such times. No doubt, volunteers from the Minden-Homer-Ruston area are there handing out water, cooking meals, offering showers and supplies. They work hand in hand with the Red Cross in many disaster locations. Closer to home, we see this comforting spirit at work when death occurs in our family or among neighbors.
