DOYLINE — The Doyline Panthers crushed the Haynesville Golden Tornado, 11-1, Tuesday afternoon.
"Our bats have been kind of silent lately," Panther head coach John Austin said. "But they came alive today. We hit the ball real well."
The Panthers out-hit Haynesville 10-3.
Gage Brunson led the way at the plate with a three-for-three, four-RBI day. He also got his first win of the season, allowing just one run.
"Gage pitched well," Austin said. "He shut them down and put us in the position to get the win. I was real happy for him."
Peyton Goener tripled and singled and Jesses Morado added a pair of singles. Cole Lullig and Luke Watson both singled and Michael Augustine added a triple.
Doyline is now 3-5 on the year.
