The Glenbrook Apaches picked up a pair of 10-run wins over the weekend as they welcomed their basketball players back onto the field.
Friday, the Apaches rolled past Claiborne Academy, 13-3, and the on Saturday, Glenbrook crushed Riverdale, 14-4.
Against Claiborne on Friday, Spencer White had a no-hitter through 4 2/3 innings, before Austin Palmier came in for the final out. White picked up the win and is 1-0 on the season.
Connor Clark tripled and drove in four runs to lead the Apaches at the plate. Palmier went three-for-five and Connor Copeland had a double, two singles and three RBIs. Micah Johnson singled and drove in two runs and Braden Dickson had a single and a RBI.
The win moved the Apaches to 4-0 on the year and 1-0 in district play.
"It was a good game for us," Glenbrook head coach Jonathan Hardy said. "It was our first district win of the year. i thought Spencer did a really good job on the mound, almost throwing a no-hitter."
Saturday at Riverdale, the Apaches improved to 5-0 with a 14-4 win over the Rebels.
Connor Copeland pitched all five innings striking out three as he moved his record to 2-0. He also singled and drove in a pair of runs.
Palmier had two doubled and a RBI, and Conner Clark singled and drove in a pair. Caleb Wilson and Cameron Matthews both singled, with Matthews driving in a run, and Jacob White added a pair of singles. Logan Clark had three RBIs in the game.
The Apaches will travel to River Oaks today for JV and varsity games beginning at 4 p.m., and then on Tuesday will host PVA in a pair of games beginning with the JV game at 2 p.m.
