William Douglas Moore

moore_obit914William Douglas Moore was born March 8, 1975 to the parentage of Bill Douglas Moore and Janice Marie Moore. He was reared by his grandparents, Elder Bill and Missionary Lou Ella Moore from age two to five in Minden. He then joined his father in Berryssa, California where he attended school from age five to 13. William and his father, relocated to Arlington, Texas where he attended Texas Boys State.

In 1993, William graduated from Bowie High School. He then attended Stephen F. Austin University and graduated from University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science Degree in History and Political Science.

He became employed with American Airlines in the Management Training Program. He was advanced to Customer Service Manager in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. He later became employed by Northfolk, Virginia Board of Trade as a financial broker. William relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada where he joined the Embassy Suites Management team.

William decided to follow his passion of entrepreneurship in publication by partnering with an associate to create AQ Living Magazine, "Green Scene." He subsequently branched off on his own to launch the Eco Publication Media Group and published a Hunting Magazine, "Racks and Tails" in Aspen, Colorado until his demise on Feb. 22, 2012.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Janice Moore; grandfather, Elder Bill Moore; and grandmother, Missionary Lou Ella Moore.

William leaves to cherish his memories his devoted father, Bill D. Moore; loving and caring stepmother, Cheryl Johnson-Moore; grandmother, Helen Johnson of Kansas City, Missouri; two stepsisters, Angela R. Johnson (Gregory) of Greenwood, Missouri and Carol B. Robinson (Pleaze) of Raytown, Missouri; nephew, Silas A. Johnson; nieces, Brianna M. Johnson and Cortney L. Robinson; and a host of other relatives; and friends in the Aspen, Colorado community.

Visitation for William Douglas Moore will be held Saturday, March 3, from 10 until 11 a.m. in the chapel of Kennon's Mortuary. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. with Elder Ernest Kirkendolph officiating. Interment will follow at Sheppard Street Cemetery.
