Webster Parish School Board must find way to cut extra million

Webster Parish Schools Superintendent Steve Dozier now has to find a way to cut $1 million more than the already-projected $3.5 million needed to reduce the 2012-2013 budget.

During the Monday night school board meeting, Dozier presented the numbers along with the new state cuts in order for board members to declare the district in financial trouble.

Then Dozier recommended the board implement a Reduction in Force (RIF), but he suggested it may take more to help – it may take school closures.
