Graveside services for Jackie S. Hensley will be held Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Gardens of Memory in Minden. Officiating will be the Rev. Bill Crider and the Rev. Bill Ichter. The family will receive friends today (Friday, Feb. 24, 2012) from 5 until 8 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home.
Jackie was born April 7, 1938 in Ruston and entered into rest Feb. 23, 2012 in Shreveport.
Jackie had a servant's heart, serving as a Red Cross volunteer for several years in Austin, Texas and also as president of UCAP in Minden. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Minden, where she taught various levels of Sunday school classes and Vacation Bible School.
Her sister, Gloria Joyce Peters, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Hensley of Minden; daughters, Beverly H. Abraham and husband, Raymond of Minden and Lynda Jeanette Hensley of Minden; grandchildren, Bradford Hensley Matens of Baton Rouge and Rebecca Browning Matens of Minden.
Pallbearers will be David Parker, Graydon Kitchens, II, Joe Ratcliff, Ron Hathorn, Mark Stevenson and Carl Thompson.
