Richard Kelly, passed away Feb. 20, 2012 at the age of 74. He was born in Jonesboro-Hodge on Feb. 18, 1938.
Richard graduated from Minden High School in 1956. He attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and was a Machinist by trade.
Richard was married to Cynthia Kelly May 27, 1976. Richard served in the Louisiana Army National Guard from 1956 to 1968. He retired from Maybelline, Inc. in 1995.
Richard was preceded in death by his father, Rufus W. Kelly and mother, Lucille L. Kelly, of Searcy, Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cynthia Kelly; daughter, Deanne Kelly of Magnolia, Arkansas; daughter, Jewell Kelly and husband, Darmon Jones of Ocala, Florida; son, Richard Kelly Jr., of Ocala; sister, Marguerite (Bill) Sutterfield of Searcy; brother, Michael L. (Virginia) Kelly, LTC (Ret.) U.S. Army of Panama City Beach, Florida; brother, Patrick C. (Annette) Kelly of Tempe, Arizona; sister, Roberta (Michael) Meeks of Lawrenceville, Georgia; his eight grandchildren, Tyler Kelly, Ryley Jordan, Baley and Paxton Pace of Magnolia, Arkansas, Lourdes Jones, Emma Kelly and Scarlett Kelly of Ocala and Saige Kelly of Little Rock, Arkansas; along with a host of nephews and nieces and other loved ones.
A memorial service was held at 4 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012 at Countryside Funeral Home, 9185 NE Jacksonville Road, Anthony, Florida.
