Goldie Mae Webb Taylor

mamawedit1_2Goldie Mae Webb Taylor, 91, Ruston, formerly of Minden, went home to be with her heavenly Father during the early morning hours Friday, Feb. 17, 2012.

Family visitation will be today (Monday, February 20) at 9 a.m., followed by general visitation at 9:30 a.m. and funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel under the direction of Kilpatrick Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Officiating the services will be Pastors Kurt Auger and Keith Taylor. Burial will follow in the Minden Cemetery.

Mrs. Taylor was born May, 3, 1920 to the late Mack Henry Webb and Paralee Newton Webb in Boyce in Rapides Parish. She was one of nine children.

Mrs. Taylor was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker. Minden was her home for the majority of her life. She was an avid cook and took pride in her vegetable and flower gardens. She also won awards for her quilting abilities.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Earl Taylor; two sisters, Azalea Williams and Mary Ethel Harper; and a brother, Mack Henry Webb Jr.

She is survived by a loving family including sons, James Earl Taylor and wife, Ardis of Spencer, Iowa and Jerry W. Taylor and wife, Joan of Farmerville; and daughter Betty Burris and husband, Charles of Lindale, Texas.

She is also survived by a sister, Bernice Trahan and a brother, Paul Webb and his wife, Hazel, all from Orange, Texas.

Mrs. Taylor was blessed with eight grandchildren; Steve Taylor, Laura Taylor, Keith Taylor, Rachel Curet, Amy Holloway, Jeremy Farmer, Taylor Burris and Skyler Burris. She also had 12 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Farmer, Taylor Burris, Skyler Burris, Charles Burris, Joe Curet and Bradley Holloway.
