Claude Banks

banks_obitClaude Banks was born March 3, 1939 in Webster Parish to the late James and Betty Webb Banks.

He accepted Christ at an early age and united with Mt. Pisgah CME Church.

Claude was a 1959 graduate of Webster High School.

SP5 Claude Banks faithfully served our country in the United States Army.

He united in holy matrimony to Angie Green Lewis.

Our dear loved one, Claude Banks, departed this earthly life on February 9 at Overton Brooks Veterans Hospital at the age of 72.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Angie Banks of Minden; four sisters, Lullaby Dillard (T.J.) of Kansas City, Kansas, Jessie Henderson of Minden, Minnieola Fears (Leonard) of Kansas City, Kansas and Lula Fears of Kansas City, Kansas; two stepsons, Victor Lewis of Cleveland, Ohio and Darrin Lewis of Atlanta, Georgia; one stepdaughter, Lisa Lewis of Minden; two stepgrandchildren, Jeremy Lewis and Chazzsmun Lewis, both of Minden; one stepgreat-grandchild, J'Sunta Lewis of Minden; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 18 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Comfort Baptist Church with the Rev. John Cole, officiating. Interment with Military Rites will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.

Visitation will be held today (Friday, February 17) in the chapel of Kennon's Mortuary from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. with family hour from 7 until 8 p.m.
