Brenda Lott Ferguson

Brenda_FergusonBrenda Ferguson was born on Nov. 14, 1951 in Shreveport and went to be with our Lord Feb. 12, 2012 at her home in Cullen. She was 60 years old.

Brenda served her community for more than 35 years as a teacher and eventually the Center Director of the Cullen Head Start program. She was the First Lady of Glovers' Memorial and Greater Roadside Church of God in Christ in Emerson, Arkansas.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Larry Dee Ferguson; daughter, Charity Ferguson Harris (Kevin); sons, Troy (Crystal) and Idrick (Ivy); mother, Vern Mae Morgan; father, Walter Morgan Sr.; brothers, Ricky Lott, Larry Lott, Donald Morgan, Julius Morgan (Sarah) and Walter Morgan, Jr. (Brenda); sister, Alma Morgan; many nieces, nephews, and eight wonderful grandchildren.

A memorial will be held on Friday Feb. 17, 2012 at the Memorial Funeral Home in Cullen from 5 until 6 p.m. The home going service will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Springhill Civic Center Bishop J.E. Williams officiating and interment to follow in the Pine Hill CME Cemetery, Emerson Arkansas.
