Laura Gibson had deep roots in Vernon Parish and lived most of her days on land that was homesteaded by her family. She was a member of East Leesville Baptist Church until she moved to Minden in 2008 to be near to immediate family members. In Minden she joined First Baptist Church where she was lovingly embraced by it's membership and quickly felt at home.
She is survived by Noah Clifton Gibson and wife Marcia of Reston, Virginia and G. Kent Gibson and wife Debbie of Minden. Mrs. Gibson has four granddaughters, Priscilla Kathleen Trimble and husband, Patrick of Reston, Virginia, Cecilia Anne Walls and husband, Gene of Vienna, Virginia, Lana Gibson and sweetheart, Kyle Burroughs and Jill Whitney and husband, John of Bossier City; and five great-grandchildren. Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Noah C. Gibson of Laurel, Mississippi.
Laura Gibson cared not for the things of this world. Her greatest desire was to set a Christ-like example in all that she did and to make new friends along the way. She will be remembered for her quick wit and spunk and good attitude in all circumstances.
Pallbearers will be Charles G. Stoma, S. Keith Stoma, Roy B. Loftin, Jr., Pete Stephens, Radell Stephens and John A. Whitney.

The family would also like to express their endless gratitude to the excellent, loving care given to Laura by Ms. Cindy Hollingshead.Subscribe to Read!
