
BATON ROUGE — Saturday night in Baton Rouge, Lakeside sophomore Chris Lewis put his name at the top of the national leader board in the 55 meter dash.
The Lakeside speedster ran a 6.31 to win the 55 meter dash at the Louisiana State indoor qualifying meet at LSU. His time replaced a 6.34 run by Loranger's Jeryl Brazil (a 2013 LSU Tiger football commit) in the prelims as the US #1 time.
Lewis easily won his prelim heat at 6.48. Using a tremendous start, Lewis powered his way to victory in the finals at 6.31 with Brazil finishing second at 6.38.
